Cork Airport lies 8 kilometres to the south of Cork city centre. This is a major gateway for all of southern Ireland. For this reason, the airport caters to more than just those passengers who are planning to visit Cork. The drive from the city centre to the terminal takes about 15 minutes outside of morning and evening rush hours.

The N27 is the airport expressway. This is a purpose-built road that only serves the airport. Those arriving from outside of Cork drive into the city first before picking up the N27.

  • R600 – Connects south to Kinsale Harbour
  • M8 – Approaches Cork from the north, becomes the N8 and ultimately turns into the South Ring Road, which intersects the N27
  • N22 – Connects west from its intersection with the N27 and ultimately leads to Killarney
